This natural wood bat box is a hand crafted single chamber house that will hold aprox 40 bats. The landing area is roughed up for an easy landing, kerfs are cut on the inside for the bats to hang from (see picture #2), the sides extend down along the landing area to protect the bats from predators swooping in, front joints are caulked to prevent water from entering the house and the inside chamber is 3/4" deep. The overall size is 24 inches long, just under 13 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep. There is a lot of information online about bat houses, mounting height, light or dark wood coloring depending on location mounting and how to attract the bats. Free shipping!
